Marc Reist (born August 4, 1960 in Grenchen) is a Swiss sculptor and painter.
Reist grew up in Grenchen and moved to Schnottwil to attend the school apprenticeship. He works as a sculptor, painter and graphic designer since 1983, (freelance). From 1995 to 2010, he teaches part-time at the Bern School of Design. As part of the “Creative Switzerland 2000” of the Swiss Embassy in London, he exhibited for the first time in London. He built the great sculpture “Swiss Navigation” inside the Galleria Mall. The meeting with the gallerist James Corless, followed several participations in the exhibitions of the Blackheath Gallery in London.
In his sculptures and his images, Marc Reist deals with the connection of the microcosm and the macrocosm, works created since 2008 by his concept «MULTISCALA». In addition, the Multiscala art book 2008-2013 was published in 2013. The photographs are by Emanuel Stotzer and part of the texts by Marie-Pierre Walliser.
