Primavera (Spring), XIII Century
Female Bust, White Carrara Marble
Replica made by Tor Art
The replica of a work of an unknown Italian sculptor of the 18th century called “Spring” was installed in front of the park “Tsarskoye Selo” also known as “Catherine Palace” in the city of Pushkin near St. Petersburg.
This work, entirely made of Carrara marble, is the first case of copy without direct contact on the original piece, thanks to the 3D laser scanner technology. The sculpture was donated to the Tsarskoye Selo – State museum-preserve by Italian Companies TORART and the Art Cave Michelangelo Studies.
