Francesco Vezzoli, one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists, realizes his works on the thin thread that divides classical sculpture and pop culture, playing at the same time with the opposing idea between the sacred and the profane.
His works have been selected three times to represent Italy at the Venice Biennale’s International Art Exhibition, in the 49th edition of 2001, in the 51st edition of 2005 and in the 52nd edition of 2007.
“His works have been included in several other international Biennial exhibitions, such as the Whitney Biennial in 2006, the 26th Biennial of Sao Paulo, the 6th International Biennial in Istanbul.”
