Lo scultore Tony Cragg è emerso alla fine del 1970 con una pratica audace che ha interrogato e testato i limiti di una vasta gamma di materiali tradizionali scultorei tra cui bronzo, acciaio, vetro, legno e la pietra. Evitando la fabbricazione delle sue opere, Cragg è stato conosciuto per unire materiali industriali contemporanei con la suggestione delle forme funzionali di oggetti banali e antichi raggiungendo forme sublimi, sinuose, e torsione.
