THE PALMIRA ARCH IN DUBAI ON THE OCCASION OF WGS 2017
Today, the Arch of Palmyra will again be a star in the eyes of the world at the World Government Summit 2017: a global platform dedicated to how to use innovation and technology to solve universal challenges of humanity, to be held in Dubai until February 14th.
The duplicate of the Triumphal Arch will be assembled at the entrance to the Madinat Jumeirah Resort, where the summit conferences will be held, where they will showcase innovative ideas and the best solutions to inspire creativity in facing future challenges.
Big names will be part of the speakers: Lieutenant General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior in the United Arab Emirates, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of Her Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Irina Bokova, Director General UNESCO, the IAEA Director General, Yukiya Amano, Uber’s founder, Travis Kalanick will share visions and insights, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner and other leading figures in the technology, finance, business and humanitarian world.
Alongside them will be present, in partnership with the summit, some of the main international organizations: the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations for Education, Science and Culture ( UNESCO), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Economic Forum (WEF), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD).
